Is there a muscle building shortcut I can take?
There is no shortcut to building muscles. You'll need to commit several hours a day to getting in shape, by eating right, and training.  Beware of "Get-Ripped-Quick" schemes, as most are based around dangerous diets.  This is not to say that dietary supplements are bad, they're just no a means to an end.
