Sergio Oliva a.k.a "The Myth" defected from Cuba, during the Pan-American Games in Kingston, Jamaica in 1960. He currently resides in the Chicago area. During a domestic dispute with his ex-wife, Sergio was shot in the arm and abdomen, and had to undergo surgery. This wasn't the last of his troubles, as just a few weeks later, doctors found a large cyst in his knee, which led to removal, and reconstructive surgery. Sergio now works for the Chicago Police Department. Sergio Oliva was inducted into the Joe Weider Bodybuilding Hall of Fame in 1999.
