John Grimek is considered to be the Godfather of Bodybuilding.  John's bodybuilding career began in the 1930s when he first visited strongman Sig Klein's New York Gym; John, who had been a figure model for university art students, began displaying his impressive physique to the general public, and  from then on, the sport of bodybuilding changed forever.  John also lent his talents to two muscle fitness publications: "Strength & Health", and "Muscular Development" for which he served as editor for over 20 years.   John Grimek was inducted into the Joe Weider Bodybuilding Hall of Fame in 1999.
